At Easthorpe School, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated School Administrator to join our vibrant community in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire. With a basic salary of £21,257.48 and a term-time only contract, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment for our pupils.

About Us

Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision that opened its doors in November 2022. We currently serve 70 pupils with a dedicated team of 50 staff. Our focus is on supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

As part of the Polaris Community, we have been improving the lives of young people for over 30 years. We take pride in our commitment to excellence, with 100% of our education services rated as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

Your Role

As a School Administrator, you will play a crucial role in promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reception Duties:
    • Welcoming parents, visitors, and colleagues with a warm and professional demeanor.
    • Answering phone calls and efficiently managing messages.
    • Ensuring visitor safety through sign-in procedures.
    • Maintaining the shared calendar and school information.
    • Coordinating deliveries and managing internal and external correspondence.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Providing comprehensive support to the Headteacher and management team.
    • Producing letters, managing filing, and assisting with photocopying.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information.
    • Scheduling meetings and managing the school diary.
  • Attendance Monitoring:
    • Tracking and monitoring pupil attendance and punctuality.
    • Communicating with parents regarding absenteeism.
    • Generating reports and maintaining accurate attendance records.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Ed:gen and CPOMS.
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team.

Additionally, you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Polaris Education.
