Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)

Specific Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsible To: Operations Directors and Responsible Individuals

Your Role

As the Head of Care, you will be at the forefront of our mission, providing professional leadership and management across all our children's homes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safety and developmental progress of our children and young people.
  • Fostering positive relationships with parents, professional partners, and other agencies.
  • Creating an environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting the commercial growth and sustainability of our services.
  • Engaging strategically with other departments to continuously enhance our offerings.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a passionate staff team.
  • Representing North Lakes Children's Services professionally within the community.

About You

We are looking for someone who is not just qualified, but also deeply committed to making a difference. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management).
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • A positive, non-judgmental attitude and a commitment to high standards of professional practice.
  • Thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and safeguarding protocols.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car with business insurance.
