At Easthorpe School, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated School Administrator to join our vibrant community in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire. With a basic salary of £21,257.48 and a term-time only contract, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

About Easthorpe School

Opened in November 2022, Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision that serves children and young people in the East Midlands. We currently support 70 pupils with a dedicated team of 50 staff. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life and wellbeing for our pupils and staff alike.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a School Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reception Duties:
    • Welcome parents, visitors, and colleagues with a warm and professional demeanor.
    • Answer phone calls and manage messages efficiently.
    • Ensure visitor safety by managing sign-ins and badges.
    • Maintain the shared calendar and keep school information up to date.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist the Headteacher and management team with various administrative tasks.
    • Produce letters, manage filing, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Input and manage data on our MIS platform, Ed:gen.
    • Support with school correspondence and manage the school diary.
  • Attendance Monitoring:
    • Track and monitor pupil attendance and punctuality.
    • Communicate with parents regarding absenteeism and maintain accurate records.
    • Assist in producing termly reports for the Headteacher and Governing Body.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Ed:gen and CPOMS.
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team.

Additionally, you should be able to manage budgets, maintain confidentiality, and work under pressure while demonstrating initiative.
