Your New Role
As a key member of our Broadcast Engineering team, you will support live productions for TNT Sports and Discovery/Eurosport, covering thrilling sports like football, cricket, rugby, and cycling. Your role will involve:
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the delivery of all engineering requirements alongside other teams.
- Collaborating with Production to guarantee the smooth running of live events.
- Implementing ticketing processes from start to resolution, including repairs and maintenance.
- Assisting with large-scale projects as needed.
- Updating shared technical documentation and fostering effective communication.
- Supporting Management and Lead Broadcast Engineers as required.
- Responding positively and proactively to all stakeholders.
- Adhering to health & safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements
We’re looking for an organized and skilled Production Support Engineer who embodies the best of our broadcasting profession. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Strong understanding of the production engineering environment and broadcast chain.
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills and the ability to fault-find from first principles.
- Calm under pressure, excelling in time-critical broadcast production environments.
- Extensive technical background in broadcast technologies (IP video, UHD & HD video, audio formats, etc.).
- Good grasp of IT technologies and their challenges (networking, cloud services, etc.).
- Ability to learn and adapt in a constantly changing environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong team player with self-motivation and a customer service mindset.
- Appreciation for project management and health & safety best practices.
While these qualifications are desirable, we welcome candidates with a strong technical background and a drive to learn.
Working Conditions
This role is based in Stockley Park, London, with a shift-based pattern that includes weekends and occasional nights. Some work at other sites, particularly Chiswick Park, may be required.
