Salary: Up to £38,955.18 per annum (including sleep-in shifts)
Specific Hours: 38 hours per week
Responsible for: Team Leaders, Residential Support Workers

Your Role & Responsibilities
As our Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Home Manager and leading our dedicated team to ensure we provide safe, high-quality care for young people. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home and ensuring the safety of young people
- Leading, supervising, and motivating the staff team, stepping in for the Manager as needed
- Creating a nurturing environment focused on the needs and views of young people
- Collaborating with professionals and families to support care plans and achieve positive outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and safety standards
- Supporting staff development and training, and participating in the on-call rota
- Managing petty cash and assisting with budget responsibilities
- Taking annual leave at different times than the Home Manager
About You
We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- A good standard of education with strong writing, IT, and organizational skills
- Hold, or be working towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People, and be willing to start the Level 5 Diploma within 6 months if not already qualified
- 2+ years of experience working directly with young people, including those with challenging behavior
- Understanding of current childcare legislation, regulations, and quality standards
- Experience working with external agencies and families, and attending professional meetings
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team, acting as a positive role model
- An empathetic, child-centered approach with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes
- A full, clean UK manual driving license
