Basic Salary: £31,151.65 - £36,323.65 per annum, based on experience

Location: Hybrid / Office Based - Sheffield

Covering Area: Sheffield, Rotherham & Barnsley

While occasional travel to the office and visits to Foster Parents and children’s homes are required, we prioritize your work-life balance.

Your Responsibilities

• Support Foster Parents in achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
• Supervise and monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Provide clear guidance to Foster Parents on their roles and responsibilities, including FCA policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated Foster Parents in line with FCA’s Operational Standards.
• Collaborate with the child’s network to identify needs within the foster family, such as respite and therapy.
• Ensure compliance with documentation for each child and Foster Parent.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding care packages.
• Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
• Deliver training sessions to Foster Parents.
• Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
• Conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments as needed.

What You’ll Need

• A Social Work qualification.
• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire area.
• Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
• A full driving licence.
