Basic Salary: £31,151.65 - £36,323.65 per annum, based on experience
Location: Hybrid / Office Based - Sheffield
Covering Area: Sheffield, Rotherham & Barnsley

Our office is located on the outskirts of Sheffield, and we embrace a hybrid working model that allows for flexibility, including the option to work from home. While occasional travel to the office and visits to Foster Parents and children’s homes are required, we prioritize your work-life balance.

Your Responsibilities
- Support Foster Parents in achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
- Supervise and monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide clear guidance to Foster Parents on their roles and responsibilities, including FCA policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated Foster Parents in line with FCA’s Operational Standards.
- Collaborate with the child’s network to identify needs within the foster family, such as respite and therapy.
- Ensure compliance with documentation for each child and Foster Parent.
- Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding care packages.
- Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
- Deliver training sessions to Foster Parents.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments as needed.
What You’ll Need
- A Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire area.
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
- A full driving licence.
