About Us
Our MOD Joint Venture is at the forefront of delivering capital works for the MOD at one of the UK’s largest and most significant naval facilities. With a diverse pipeline of projects, including high-value new builds, refurbishments, and infrastructure, this role promises stability, security, and variety.
Your Role
As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of construction activities on-site, adhering to stringent safety standards while maintaining quality through effective supervision of sub-contractors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting position, you will:
- Oversee and direct sub-contractor partners to deliver work packages, including groundworks, drainage, structural frame erection, roofing, cladding, and interior fit-out.
- Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure safe and appropriate working methods in line with Kier Health and Safety policies.
- Check work carried out by sub-contractors to ensure alignment with programme, design drawings, and quality standards.
- Coordinate site logistics, managing the movement of plant and labor while maintaining safety.
- Create, log, and file site reports and paperwork accurately and promptly using platforms like Procore and Snag Master.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Have management experience in a similar role within the UK construction industry, ideally in a Main Contracting environment.
- Possess experience with large-scale commercial builds ranging from £10M to £100M, showcasing your technical and process understanding.
- Have strong influencing skills and the ability to build positive relationships with onsite sub-contractors.
- Hold a relevant Construction Management Qualification (HND/Degree/SVQ), SMSTS 5 Day Cert, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification.
- Are IT literate and comfortable using software such as Procore, Snagmaster, or similar.
