Are you a passionate leader with a heart for children? Area Camden, an Ofsted-rated Outstanding and Good provider since 2014, is on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee our established 3-bed children’s home in London. This is your chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 9-17 with complex emotional and behavioral needs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As our Registered Manager, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and nurturing care for children and young people.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Lead and mentor staff, fostering a child-centered approach focused on achieving the best outcomes.
  • Maintain robust safeguarding systems and effective multi-agency collaboration.
  • Implement care plans and ensure that individual vulnerabilities and support needs are consistently addressed.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Leadership and Management qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
  • Strong knowledge of childcare and safeguarding laws, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000.
  • Experience managing staff teams with excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for children’s homes and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will manage your own rota and participate in the on-call rota. The role comes with a competitive base salary of £52,000, with the potential to earn up to £58,600 through bonuses.

  • 32 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year for the first three years.

  • Ofsted performance bonuses: £3,000 for an Outstanding judgment and £1,500 for a Good judgment.

  • Company car or £3,000 annual travel allowance.
