Location: Head Office - Nottingham

Hours: 21 hours per week

Salary: £14,117.74 (pro-rated from £23,529.57 FTE)

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Education Coordinator to join our fostering team in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills in a supportive environment focused on ensuring our young people receive the education they deserve to reach their full potential.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Improving educational opportunities for looked-after children.
  • Providing support and advice on educational issues.
  • Maintaining and utilizing the CHARMS database (training provided).
  • Completing reports for management meetings.
  • Delivering training packages to Foster Parents and staff.
  • Attending meetings and taking minutes for various discussions.
  • Producing general ad-hoc reports and analyses.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for looked-after children.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in supporting looked-after children and understanding the challenges they face.
  • Experience working as part of a multi-agency team.
  • Confidence in delivering training and presentations.
