Your New Role

As our portfolio continues to expand, the Global Technology & Operations team is at the forefront of building world-class media technology and IT systems. We’re on a mission to enhance Warner Bros. Discovery’s products and articulate a long-term technology strategy that will elevate our pay-TV, digital, and online services.

In this role, you’ll primarily support WBD Sports as we undergo a technology transformation across Europe, utilizing a hybrid architecture of on-premise and cloud solutions. Join our dynamic team in London and Paris, where you’ll be integral to managing engineering and support for our cutting-edge broadcast operations.

Your Role Accountabilities

As part of the M2P Engineering team, you will provide Tier 2 support and engineering expertise for MAM and post-production platforms within a virtualized hybrid environment.

Support Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tier 2 support and manage escalated tickets from Level 0 and Level 1 teams.
  • Coordinate incident and problem follow-ups with internal and external teams.
  • Monitor platform health and performance, planning maintenance activities as needed.
  • Oversee upgrade phases and reboot actions.

Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Manage short-term engineering projects and collaborate with the Tier 3 engineering team.
  • Gather workflow requirements from WBD Sports, TNT Sports, and Eurosport offices.
  • Produce comprehensive workflow, project, and engineering documentation.
  • Design centralized workflows across MAM and post-production platforms.
  • Support users through change management and new project implementations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Broadcast, or a related field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; French language skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, especially during live events.
  • Self-motivated team player committed to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Broadcast Technology in a support or engineering role.
  • Experience in Sports, News, Production, and Documentary environments.
  • Familiarity with MAM and Post-Production tools.
  • Strong technical background in broadcast technologies (IP video, audio formats, etc.).
  • Good understanding of IT technologies and challenges (networking, virtualization, cloud services).
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic scripting and development skills.
  • Knowledge of AWS services.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.

General Working Conditions

  • Work on shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Night work may be required depending on live events.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Based in London, UK, with minimal travel expected.
  • This is a permanent contract.

Hybrid Working

This role is offered as a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work, in line with our company policy and your Line Manager's agreement. Please note that this arrangement may be adjusted based on business needs.
