About the Role
Our Research & Development team is the creative powerhouse behind KP Snacks, dedicated to crafting delicious, innovative, and high-quality snacks for consumers across the UK. From exploring new flavors to refining existing recipes, we blend consumer insights, market trends, and technical expertise to shape the future of snacking.
As a Process Development Technologist, you’ll have the chance to dive into the exciting world of food innovation and manufacturing. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those early in their careers who are passionate about food and eager to learn.
In this collaborative role, you’ll support the development and launch of exciting new products and processes across our beloved brands. You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
- Factory trials
- Product development
- Process optimization
- Cross-functional project delivery
Work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Commercial teams, and enjoy fantastic exposure to the full product development lifecycle. Your Responsibilities
- Support product and process development projects: Assist in developing new products and optimizing existing recipes to meet consumer expectations for taste, quality, and value.
- Plan and deliver factory and pilot trials: Organize and execute trials, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation while collaborating with site teams.
- Ensure technical and food safety compliance: Help maintain compliance with all statutory, legal, and customer requirements throughout the development process.
- Collaborate across multiple teams: Partner with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, and Technical teams to support successful product launches.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation: Analyze data, benchmark competitor products, and contribute ideas to enhance products, processes, efficiency, and sustainability.

What We’re Looking For
- A relevant scientific or technical degree: A degree in Food Science, Physical Science, Formulation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A passion for food, manufacturing, and innovation: Curiosity about product development and enthusiasm for creating great products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to collect, interpret, and communicate data for informed decision-making.
- Excellent organization and communication skills: Capability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships across functions.
- A proactive and collaborative approach: Willingness to learn, embrace challenges, and contribute positively in a fast-paced team environment. Previous FMCG, project, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential.
