Basic Salary: £31,151.65 - £36,323.65 per annum, dependent upon experience
Location: Hybrid / Office Based - Sheffield
Covering Area: Sheffield, Rotherham & Barnsley areas

Your Responsibilities

  • Support Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
  • Supervise and monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents.
  • Ensure Foster Parents understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide regular supervision in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Collaborate with the foster family network to identify needs and resources.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation for each child and Foster Parent.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams.
  • Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development.
  • Deliver training to Foster Parents.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.

What You Need

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Yorkshire area.
  • Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence.
