At GXO, we are excited to welcome a Transport Supervisor to our GXO Supply Chain operation at our Wellingborough site. In this role, you will lead a team of drivers, providing coaching and support to ensure we meet and exceed our operational targets. Your commitment to strict adherence to company processes, Health & Safety standards, and all ‘O’ Licence legislation will be key to our success.

Position Details

This is a full-time, permanent position with shift patterns available from Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:00.

Your Daily Responsibilities

As a Transport Supervisor, you will:

  • Respond to unforeseen events across shifts promptly, minimizing negative impacts by effectively utilizing available resources.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to driving standards and address them in line with HR policies.
  • Support people management processes, including return-to-work meetings and employee relations tasks.
  • Manage driver infringements using Tachomaster and DCRS, collaborating with Driver Trainers for outcomes.
  • Monitor driver performance using Microlise Admin and reporting tools, updating trackers and taking action as needed.

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a transport or complex logistics environment.
  • Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading a team of drivers and staff.
  • A thorough understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and transport legislation.
  • Competence in using Transport Management Systems (TMS), tracking software, and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy for reporting, compliance, and auditing.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
