Location: Sedgefield / Hebburn
Hours: 40 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know during our conversation!)

About the Project
Join us in an exciting venture as we embark on the third phase of a significant expansion at one of the UK’s premier science, engineering, and technology parks. The £61m North East Technology Park (NETPark) will create up to 232,000 square feet of flexible laboratory, office, production, and storage space. As a Senior Project Surveyor, you’ll collaborate with the commercial lead, managing a large supply chain and ensuring outstanding commercial outcomes from start to finish.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Surveyor, you’ll play a crucial role in our commercial team, focusing on cost management, risk assessment, and value for money throughout this major project. Your daily tasks will include:
- Managing payment applications from sub-contractors and preparing client applications
- Negotiating with the supply chain to secure the best value and awarding work packages
- Monitoring actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports
- Ensuring all variations are accurately costed and logged in accordance with contract conditions
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience in commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
- You’ve successfully delivered high-value projects ranging from £20M to £100M within a Main Contracting organization
- You hold a relevant degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- You’re confident in your interactions with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders
- You possess a Full driving licence
