Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are excited to invite a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Building Solutions South team based in Sheffield. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in delivering high-quality projects!

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract management. You’ll be working from the site or office for 3+ days a week, collaborating with a talented team to ensure our projects meet the highest standards.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
  • Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
  • Produce monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, managing cash flows effectively.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Possess diverse and clear communication skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Are flexible and can work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.

Working Conditions

You'll be working 40 hours a week, from 08:30 to 17:00. Please note that we are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role.
