Location: Woodhams Farm Day Nursery

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience) + £2,000 welcome bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualification: Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential

Your Responsibilities

As our Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing medication administration and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date.
  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to each child's age and development stage.
  • Promote respect and credibility through effective communication and consistency.
  • Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts related to children and staff.
  • Undertake additional duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

*Duties may evolve, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Leadership experience - Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS - Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience in a management position - Desirable
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
