Salary: £23,857.60 pro rata, £26,936 FTE
Contract: Part Time, 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover)
Hours: 31 hours per week (working pattern to be negotiated)
Base Location: Home-based with travel for meetings in Richmond and Kingston

About PCS SENDIASS
Our SENDIASS services are a vital part of Polaris, offering timely, confidential, and impartial support to parents, carers, children, and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). We empower families to take an active role in their education, ensuring they are informed and supported every step of the way.
Your Role
We are looking for a passionate SENDIASS Support Worker to join our friendly team in Richmond and Kingston. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to families navigating the complexities of SEND. Your professionalism and approachability will make a real difference in their lives!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to children and young people with SEND and their families.
- Assist with common topics such as EHCP applications, SEND tribunals, and social care provisions.
- Help customers understand their rights and navigate the SEND process.
- Encourage self-advocacy and empower families to take control of their situations.
- Maintain accurate records and cultivate professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of resources for our SENDIASS website and social media.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A qualification in SEND law or a willingness to pursue IPSEA SEN Law Training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of the local communities and services in Richmond and Kingston.
- Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage complex conversations.
- Confidence in using Outlook, Microsoft Office, and databases.
