Your New Role
As our portfolio continues to grow globally, the Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) team is at the forefront of building media technology and IT systems that meet the world-class standards for which Discovery is known. You will primarily focus on WBD Sports, participating in a technology transformation that supports our operations across Europe.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Support: Provide Tier 2 support and manage escalated tickets from Level 0 and Level 1 teams.
- Coordinate incident and problem follow-ups with internal and external teams.
- Plan maintenance activities and manage upgrade phases.
- Monitor and maintain the overall health and performance of our platforms.
- Engineering: Manage short-term engineering projects and collaborate with the Tier 3 engineering team.
- Gather workflow requirements from WBD Sports, TNT Sports, and Eurosport offices.
- Produce workflow, project, and engineering documentation.
- Design centralized workflows across MAM and post-production platforms.
- Support users through change management and new project implementations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Technology, Engineering, Broadcast, or a related field.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; French language skills are a plus.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, especially during live events.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Broadcast Technology in a support or engineering role.
- Experience with MAM and post-production tools.
- Good understanding of IT technologies and associated challenges.
- Basic scripting and development skills are a plus.
Working Conditions
- Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
- On-call rotation based in London, UK.
- Minimal travel expected.
- Permanent contract with a hybrid working model.
