If so, we invite you to consider joining the Integrated Services Programme (ISP) as a Part-Time Supervising Social Worker based in Chesham.

About Us

Founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need. Our Integrated Services Programme focuses on a therapeutic approach to fostering, bringing together a network of professionals—including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists—to support both children and foster parents.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to foster parents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high-quality supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making processes.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Knowledgeable about relevant legislation in children’s services.
  • Capable of producing excellent reports and meeting strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • Hold a Social Work England-recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • Experience or a desire to work within a therapeutic model of childcare.
  • Full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, offering:

  • Salary: £29,600 per annum (£37,000 FTE)
  • Hours: 4 days per week, 28 hours
  • Covering Area: Aylesbury, Bracknell, Reading, and Woking
