Location: Chesham
Covering Area: Aylesbury, Bracknell, Reading, and Woking
Salary: £29,600 per annum (£37,000 FTE)
Hours: 4 days per week (28 hours)

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. Here’s what you need to bring:

  • ✅ A Social Work England-recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • ✅ Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • ✅ Familiarity with or a desire to work within a therapeutic model of childcare.
  • ✅ A solid understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
  • ✅ A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. You will also be responsible for quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.

All successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check, with the cost covered by ISP.
