Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of construction? We’re on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Design team. This role offers the flexibility of nationwide/agile working with travel as necessary.

Location & Hours

Location: Nationwide/agile working plus travel as necessary
Hours: 40 hours per week - we offer flexibility, so just let us know your preferences!

Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver commercial excellence. Collaborating closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage all aspects of commercial activity, from procurement to financial reporting. This is your chance to work alongside talented Project Leads and embedded teams, ensuring robust commercial controls and clear forecasting while enhancing overall business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead subcontractor procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation, and appointment.
  • Support contract administration and change control processes, managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting, preparing client applications for payment.
  • Ensure safe entry into contracts through PLM governance and compliance with commercial standards.
  • Enhance team efficiency by monitoring utilization and supporting bid and tender activities.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role within construction, consultancy, design, or term-service environments.
  • Possess strong contractual awareness, including NEC and general commercial principles.
  • Are confident in preparing client applications, forecasting, and managing change control processes.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Are a collaborative problem-solver with strong time management skills and commercial judgment.
