Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate foster parents, we are proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the center of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Service Programme (ISP) includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for children and foster families.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring effective supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
  • A full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Ashurst, Southampton. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
