About Us

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in keeping young people safe and supporting their daily care and development.

Your Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will help deliver high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people. Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key worker and overseeing daily practice.
• Leading and mentoring staff to ensure continuous improvement.
• Organizing work patterns and ensuring compliance with care plans and safeguarding standards.
• Managing placement plans and responding to safeguarding concerns.
• Coordinating access to health, education, and therapeutic services.

Leadership and Home Management

In this role, you will:

• Provide strong leadership and coaching to ensure high-quality care.
• Support the Manager/Senior team in upholding care standards and implementing policies.
• Monitor compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Work as part of the rota to maintain safe, consistent care.
• Contribute to quality assurance, including inspections and Regulation 44 visits.
• Assist with managing the home’s budget and general household upkeep.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• A Children’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent qualification in the children sector.

Working Conditions

Your work schedule will follow a fixed rota pattern:

• Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (60 hours)
• Week 2: Wed, Thu (24 hours)

This ensures a minimum average of 168 hours per month and 236 hours of annual leave, which increases by 12 hours each year for three years (up to 272 hours).
