Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are excited to invite a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions South team based in Sheffield.

Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract management. You’ll be working from the site or office for 3+ days a week, contributing to the delivery of high-quality projects for our key strategic clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
  • Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, and place orders for materials and plant.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
  • Produce monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, and manage cashflows.

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You possess diverse and clear communication skills, with experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • You have strong organizational skills and can prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • You are flexible, able to work as part of a team, and can use your own initiative.
  • You are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
