Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Project Surveyor to join our dynamic team of Managing Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in the vibrant locations of Darlington and Hebburn.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing cost and risk across high-value construction projects. Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure that our projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining excellent financial control from tender through to completion.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Surveyor, your day-to-day activities will include:
- Managing project cash flow and preparing applications for payment to clients.
- Negotiating with sub-contractors to achieve the best value and assessing returns from the supply chain.
- Monitoring actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports.
- Ensuring all variations are costed and logged in line with contract conditions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff in their development.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience working on commercial construction projects within a main contracting organization.
- You possess strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.
- You have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects ranging from £20M to £100M.
- You hold a relevant academic qualification such as a Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- You have a full driving license.
