As a Primary Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in enriching the educational journey of pupils with diverse special educational and learning needs. Your support will empower them to gain independence and fully engage in both the curriculum and school life.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Collaborate with the class team to create learning opportunities and foster positive behaviors.
- Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, working closely with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Build meaningful relationships with your pupils, encouraging interaction and positive learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background at degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Effective behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
