Your New Role...
As a Conform & Colour Assistant, you will be an essential part of the finishing process for premium film and television projects. Collaborating with talented colourists and artists, you’ll help transform raw footage into stunning final deliverables in a fast-paced, high-end post-production environment. If you’re passionate about colour grading and the technical craft behind breathtaking visuals, this is your chance to shine!
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing data, ensuring smooth backup, archiving, and restoration of projects.
- Utilize your knowledge of editorial practices and systems (e.g., Avid, ISIS, FCP, Premiere Pro) for basic tasks like digitizing and syncing rushes.
- Set up projects for colourists within the Baselight system and assist with exporting and rendering.
- Establish transcoding templates and perform transcoding tasks as needed.
- Provide front-line technical support for the colourist team, ensuring all video and audio systems are functioning optimally.
- Conduct quality checks on masters and master files, looking for both technical and subjective image artefacts.
- Troubleshoot workflows and recommend improvements for efficiency.
- Understand tapeless workflows from camera to final delivery, including knowledge of digital cameras and colour management.
- Interact with the Alfred automated system to complete tasks and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Extensive experience as a Baselight operator in a high-end facility.
- Proficiency with Resolve, Avid Media Composer, FCP, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good knowledge of Flame and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Intermediate IT skills, preferably with strong Linux knowledge.
- Exposure to high-end Television Drama and Feature Projects.
- Familiarity with digitizing, transcoding, logging, syncing, and grouping.
- Experience with EDLs, OMF/AAF, and various QuickTime codecs.
- Understanding of frame rates, formats, and codecs.
- Familiarity with Conditions of Service, Contract of Employment, and Health and Safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days will be carried out at the workplace. WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs, with reasonable notice.
