Base Location: Chesham

Covering Area: Aylesbury, Bracknell, Reading, and Woking

Salary: £29,600 per annum (£37,000 FTE)

Hours: 4 days per week, 28 hours

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Holding a Social Work England-recognized qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable about relevant legislation in children’s services.
  • Possessing a full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that combines quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
