Your New Role

Join us as a Projectionist and play a vital role in our world-class screening facilities at Soho Square. You’ll be at the heart of bringing premier content to life, ensuring every screening is delivered flawlessly. Collaborate with post-production teams, colourists, producers, and clients to provide a first-class experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Prepare, ingest, and manage content, ensuring it’s correctly formatted and ready for playback.
  • Conduct pre-screening checks on picture and sound for optimal presentation quality.
  • Configure and operate digital cinema servers and projection systems in our screening rooms.
  • Perform quality control checks, identifying and reporting any issues.
  • Assist with image and sound calibration to maintain DCI compliance.
  • Collaborate with post-production teams to ensure smooth scheduling and technical requirements.
  • Meet clients before screenings to ensure their needs are met.
  • Participate as a Fire Warden to help ensure the safety of all personnel on site.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Strong knowledge of cinema projection audio and video standards, including Dolby Atmos and various presentation formats.
  • Understanding of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) and experience in ingesting and validating content.
  • Familiarity with cinema projection systems, automation equipment, and audio processing hardware.
  • Broad understanding of video image fundamentals, including codecs and frame rates.
  • Solid grasp of professional cinema audio systems and multichannel formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic picture and sound issues.
  • Competent in performing technical checks and measurements.
  • Able to work within a shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the workplace. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
