Your Role
As a Primary Class Teacher at Herdley Bank School, you will play a vital role in the educational journey of pupils with diverse special educational and learning needs. Your support will empower them to gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, catering to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning opportunities and promote positive behaviors.
- Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, working closely with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, fostering interaction and encouraging successful learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background at degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in effective behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
