Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're on the lookout for a Senior Project Surveyor to become an integral part of our Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager team based in Darlington / Hebburn.
Location & Hours
Location: Darlington / Hebburn
Hours: 40 hours per week - with some flexibility available!

Your Role
As a Senior Project Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing cost and risk across high-value construction projects. Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining excellent financial control from tender through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Manage project cash flow and prepare applications for payment to clients.
- Negotiate with sub-contractors to achieve the best value and assess returns from the supply chain.
- Monitor actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports.
- Ensure all variations are costed and logged in line with contract conditions.
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff in their development.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Have experience working on commercial construction projects within a main contracting organization.
- Possess strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.
- Have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects ranging from £20M to £100M.
- Hold a relevant academic qualification such as a Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- Have a full driving license.
