Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are excited to invite a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Places - Building Solutions team in the vibrant city of London.

About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing the commercial resources of thrilling refurbishment and re-cladding projects valued between £5m - £15m. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality projects that make a positive impact on communities across London.

Your Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Manage commercial resources and maximize planned gross margin through careful contract placement and control.
  • Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, while placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identify, negotiate, and agree on project variations with customers and suppliers.
  • Measure, value, and agree on work progress to support invoicing and payment processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable) and have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Possess strong communication skills and can effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Are highly organized, able to prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Are confident using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
  • Embrace collaboration, sharing knowledge, and supporting others while taking initiative when needed.

Working Conditions

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours a week, from 08:30 to 17:00. Please note that we are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role.
