Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Building Solutions North team, where you’ll manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract management. You’ll spend 3+ days a week working from site or office, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
• Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, while placing orders for materials and plant.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
• Produce monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, managing cash flows effectively.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

• Possess strong communication skills and have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
• Hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Are flexible and can work both as part of a team and independently.
• Are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
