Are you ready to make a significant impact on a major infrastructure project? We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic East West Rail team in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. This is your chance to collaborate with an experienced team and play a vital role in managing the commercial aspects of this exciting project!

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the project stays on track while maximizing value and profitability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with contract valuations, ensuring timely and accurate payment applications, and compiling final accounts.
  • Leading sub-contractor management from enquiry to completion, including drafting orders and analyzing tenders.
  • Collaborating closely with the project manager on cost control and forecasting site expenditure.
  • Identifying and raising contract changes through Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
  • Providing leadership and support to junior commercial staff, aiding in their development.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Holds a Degree, HNC, or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Has prior experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and enjoys working with data.
  • Builds strong relationships and communicates confidently with diverse teams.
  • Stays organized, manages time effectively, and can handle multiple priorities.

Working Conditions

This is a Permanent Full-time position, requiring 45 hours per week. We offer some flexibility in hours, so just let us know your preferences when we connect. The role is based in St Neots, with travel between Bedford and Cambridge, and we support hybrid working.
