Since opening our doors in November 2022, we are excited to expand our team to accommodate the growing number of pupils in our Lower School, serving ages 7-13. With class sizes capped at seven, each class is supported by a qualified teacher and up to two teaching assistants.

We focus on pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more. This is your chance to make a real difference in their lives!

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a SEN Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in creating enriching learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
• Assist the Exams Officer with the organization and administration of examinations.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Possess a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
• Have proven experience in SEND teaching.
• Understand the examination process well.
• Have experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques.
• Be committed to your professional development and eager to learn.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Easthorpe School.
