Hours: 30 hours per week, with a flexible working pattern negotiated with your line manager
Base Location: Home-based

About Hampshire SENDIASS
The Hampshire SENDIASS is a vital part of our Children's Services branch, providing timely, confidential, and impartial information, advice, and support for parents, carers, children, and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). Our mission is to empower families to take an active and informed role in their education.
Your Role
We are looking for a passionate SENDIASS Support Worker to join our friendly team in Hampshire. If you have relevant professional or personal experience related to special educational needs, disabilities, education, health, or social care, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to children and young people with SEND and their families.
- Assist with common topics such as EHCP applications, SEND tribunals, attendance issues, and more.
- Help customers navigate documents, write applications, and attend meetings.
- Support customers throughout the SENDIST appeal process.
- Advocate for necessary support services to help customers engage effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of advice and support provided.
- Contribute to the development of resources for our SENDIASS website and social media.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A qualification in SEND law or a willingness to pursue IPSEA SEN Law Training within the first year.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage complex conversations.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications and databases.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
