Salary: Up to £15,423.23 per Annum

About the Role
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in the educational and social development of Year 6 and Year 7 pupils with Special Educational Needs. Working closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff, you will:
- Support the Class Teacher in delivering tailored educational experiences.
- Assist with a variety of activities and learning tasks, ensuring that each pupil’s Educational Care Health Plan is met.
- Help prepare and maintain differentiated resources to enhance learning.
About You
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with children with SEND, particularly ASC or SEMH.
- A passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
- GCSEs in Maths and English, grade C or above.
- Level 3 Qualification in Learning Support or Childcare is desirable.
- Ability to build positive relationships that foster child development.
- Experience delivering specific support programs to individuals or small groups.
- Knowledge of KS2 and KS3 curriculum.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- A collaborative team player with a flexible approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning for individuals and small groups.
- Deliver targeted support for pupils with SEND, including implementing IEPs and EHCPs.
- Facilitate learning across the curriculum, utilizing effective ICT tools.
- Promote positive behavior, independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
- Provide pastoral support and contribute to safeguarding efforts.
- Supervise pupils during breaktimes and other non-classroom activities.
- Assist with school events, educational visits, and extracurricular activities.
- Carry out administrative duties and engage in professional development.
