Your Role as Room Leader
As a Room Leader, you will:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences for children, tailored to their age and development.
- Enhance the overall daily needs of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
- Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
- Support the key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
- Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
- Understand and meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
- Essential: Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years.
- Desirable: Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
- Essential: Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
- Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English.
