Salary: £21,280 to £22,800 Per Annum, Based on Experience

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to inspire and support our children. As a 1-2-1 Specialist Learning Support Practitioner, you will provide consistent, structured support to a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and ASD. Your role will be pivotal in helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and develop independence.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support in line with the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Adapt tasks and resources to meet the pupil's individual learning, sensory, and attention needs.
  • Implement strategies for emotional regulation and positive behavior, aligned with the EHCP.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan, deliver, and review support, ensuring inclusion in classroom and school activities.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress against EHCP targets, contributing to reviews and documentation.
  • Encourage independence, self-confidence, and social communication skills.
  • Support transitions throughout the school day, helping the pupil feel secure and prepared.
  • Liaise with parents, SENCo, and external professionals to maintain clear communication.
  • Ensure the pupil's safety, wellbeing, and dignity, adhering to school policies on safeguarding and health.
  • Engage in relevant training to enhance your understanding of ASD, ADHD, and inclusive education.
  • Promote safeguarding, health, and safety, and embody the school's ethos.
