Your Role as Facilities Manager
As our Facilities Manager, you will be a vital part of ensuring our school campuses run smoothly and safely. Your mission? To create an environment that enhances the experience of students, colleagues, and parents alike. You will take pride in maintaining our facilities, ensuring they are safe, secure, and fit for purpose.
With a can-do attitude, you will be the guardian of high standards, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and the seamless operation of our estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of premises and facility management across the school.
- Act as the Health & Safety Coordinator, preparing for and attending committee meetings, and ensuring compliance documentation is up-to-date.
- Ensure facilities compliance, including fire safety and security protocols.
- Manage an annual repair and maintenance schedule, addressing defects promptly.
- Conduct regular site assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure site security and manage key holder duties, including opening and closing premises.
- Lead and support site teams, fostering a culture of high standards.
- Assist in organizing internal and external events that showcase our school.
- Collaborate with specialists to coordinate compliance actions.
- Support senior leadership in property and facility development projects.

- A hands-on approach combined with oversight of site teams.
- Experience managing facilities, ideally across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to manage an annual maintenance budget effectively.
- Experience in organizing large, complex events.
- A background in a busy, service-driven culture, preferably in a school setting.
- Willingness to attend call-outs as necessary, including out-of-hours.
