Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days a week (including one day at Plumpton College)
Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time Only

About ISP School

We are excited to announce the opening of our new school in Battle, East Sussex, which will accommodate 60 pupils amidst beautiful countryside surroundings.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated support to one pupil or a small group (max five pupils)
  • Assisting the classroom teacher during lessons
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress and concerns
  • Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips
  • Helping with lesson planning and classroom preparation
  • Setting and marking work as appropriate
  • Building positive relationships to enhance learning outcomes

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
  • Confidence to lead on a specialism (e.g., reading, mathematics, or forest school)
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn

All successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP School Battle.
