Our independent specialist provision opened its doors in November 2022, and we are excited to expand our team to support our growing Lower School for pupils aged 7-13.

With class sizes capped at seven pupils, each class is supported by a qualified teacher and up to two teaching assistants, ensuring personalized attention and care.

Your Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to help shape our new provision and enrich the lives of our pupils. You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of our pupils.
• Support the class team in creating a positive learning environment and facilitating meaningful learning opportunities.
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure every child's needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to foster interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
• Assist the Exams Officer with the planning and administration of internal and external examinations.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Possess a strong educational background at degree level.
• Have previous successful experience in SEND teaching.
• Understand the examination process well.
• Have experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques.
• Be committed to your professional development and eager to learn.
