Location: Andover, Hampshire

Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the national curriculum while addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Support the class team in creating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to enhance interaction and foster positive learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
  • Previous successful teaching experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
