Position: PSHE/Careers Teacher
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, Term Time Only
Salary: £28,000 - £37,800 (dependent on experience)
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8.45am - 4.30pm
  • Tuesday: 8.45am - 5.00pm

Our small secondary school is designed for looked-after children facing SEMH challenges, and we are on the lookout for a passionate PSHE/Careers Teacher who can forge meaningful connections and inspire our students.

Your Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will work alongside a dedicated group of teachers and teaching assistants, delivering a diverse curriculum that includes:

  • PSHE
  • Careers Education
  • Vocational Subjects
  • ASDAN Programs

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed professional who possesses:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A passion for motivating and encouraging young people
  • High expectations and a clear vision of educational excellence
  • Outstanding classroom management skills
  • The ability to create and deliver engaging study programs
  • Flexibility and a collaborative spirit to work within our supportive team
  • The capability to teach additional subjects
  • A valid driving license for both manual and automatic vehicles

Working Conditions

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Apple Orchard School.
