Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)

About Our School

Located in the heart of Scunthorpe, our school is a haven for up to 42 pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. About You

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated educational leader who is ready to make a significant impact. As our Headteacher, you will:

Key Responsibilities

• Educational Leadership: Craft and implement a vision that embodies the values of the Polaris Community, focusing on compassion, inclusion, and personalized learning.
• Safeguarding: Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring a robust safeguarding culture and effective collaboration with partners.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Tailor the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring an engaging learning journey.
• Pastoral Care and SEN Advocacy: Champion emotional wellbeing and advocate for the rights of our SEN students within the educational community.
• Staff Development: Mentor and support staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external partners to create a cohesive support network.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with primary/secondary teaching experience
• Suitable first degree and/or NPQH (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with SEN students and a deep understanding of their unique requirements
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
