Based in Ashurst, Southampton, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join our team!

Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a unique therapeutic approach to fostering, ensuring that every child receives the specialized support they need. Our integrated range of services includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working together to create a nurturing environment for children and foster parents alike.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
  • Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation in children's services.
  • Has a full driving license and unrestricted access to a car.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of up to £39,500 per annum. You will also enjoy:

  • A generous £3,000 car allowance.
  • 30 days of annual leave, increasing to 35 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
