Located in the beautiful countryside of Foxton, our SEN school specializes in providing education for 7-18-year-olds with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Our small class sizes of 4-6 children ensure that every pupil receives the personalized attention they need to thrive.

Our school boasts extensive private grounds that foster a therapeutic atmosphere, perfect for outdoor learning experiences. With facilities like a multi-use sports pitch, sensory trail, and refurbished classrooms for science, music, drama, and art, we create an engaging and enriching environment for our students.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Mentor and support one pupil, or a small group of no more than six pupils.
  • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons and help with lesson planning.
  • Report on pupils' progress and collaborate with other staff to meet their needs.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
  • Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as food hygiene or forest school.
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.

Working Conditions

This is a fixed-term, full-time position for one year, working during term time only. The salary ranges from £21,257.48 to £23,232.69, and you will be part of a friendly and inclusive team dedicated to improving pupil outcomes.
