At Apple Orchard School, we are looking for a dedicated PSHE/Careers Teacher to join our expanding therapeutic community in Horsham, West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who are looked-after and face SEMH challenges, helping them to thrive in a supportive environment.

Your Role

As a PSHE/Careers Teacher, you will:

  • Inspire and motivate young people to reach their full potential.
  • Deliver engaging and stimulating programmes of study in PSHE, Careers, vocational subjects, and ASDAN.
  • Maintain high expectations and a clear vision of educational excellence.
  • Utilize outstanding classroom management practices to create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance the educational experience.
  • Possibly teach other subjects, bringing versatility to our curriculum.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A passion for working with vulnerable young people.
  • Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position, working term time only. Your hours will be:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8.45am - 4.30pm
  • Tuesday: 8.45am - 5.00pm

Salary

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £37,800, depending on your experience.
