Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a unique Integrated Service Programme that places children at the heart of everything we do. Our approach combines the expertise of social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists to provide comprehensive support for both children and foster parents.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A strong report writer who can meet strict deadlines.
To be successful, you will need:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation in children's services.
- A full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Ashurst, Southampton. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
