Founded by a dedicated group of foster parents, ISP is the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we are committed to providing specialized support to looked-after children, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. Our Integrated Service Programme surrounds children and foster parents with a network of professionals, including social workers, teachers, and therapists, all working together to create a therapeutic approach to fostering.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of up to £39,500 per annum, plus a £3,000 car allowance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to foster parents, maintaining a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
• Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

• Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
• Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Knowledgeable about relevant legislation and publications in children's services.
• Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
• Possessing a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This demanding yet rewarding position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting foster families effectively. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
